Road closures at the Auckland Domain for Brother Rally NZ this Sunday

Auckland Transport advises of road closures and parking restrictions in and around the Auckland Domain for the Brother Rally New Zealand super special stage taking place this Sunday 24 June.

The super special stage is a competitive exhibition stage of the rally event conducted on closed roads under race conditions, around the iconic Auckland War Memorial Museum. Entry is free.

There is a free shuttle bus for spectators departing from Britomart, (bus stop D6, Auckland Hospital bus stop) to the Auckland Domain The first shuttle bus leaves Britomart at 8am and every 10 minutes thereafter until 12 noon.

The return shuttle bus from the Auckland Domain (Park Road) to Britomart will depart from 1pm and every ten minutes thereafter until 2pm.

Plan your public transport journey to either Britomart or the Auckland Domain by going to www.maxx.co.nz for transport options.

Covered public car parking is available nearby at Downtown and Victoria Street carpark.

To accommodate the event, the following roads will be closed from Saturday 23 June, 7pm to Sunday 24 June 8pm.

· Football Road (Little George Street to Carlton Gore Road)

· Kiosk Road

· Wintergarden Road

· Little George Street

· The Crescent (including the duck ponds car park)

· Domain Drive (between Parnell Road and Park Road)

· Lovers Lane including Lovers Lane car park

· Lower Domain Drive

· Cenotaph road

· Museum Circuit Road

· Maunsell Road extension

The following roads will have No Stopping parking restrictions applied from Saturday 23 June 7pm to Sunday 24 June 8pm.

· The Crescent

· Museum Circuit

· Cenotaph Road

· Lovers Lane
