Petone Plan Change 29 Hearings to Be Held in March
Hearings for Petone District Plan Change 29 will be held under an independent commissioner in March next year (2013), says Mayor of Lower Hutt Ray Wallace.
The hearings were previously scheduled for 13 February 2013.
Mayor Wallace, together with the Chair of the District Planning Committee, Cr Roger Styles, decided the hearings should be conducted by independent commissioners.
“Change 29 has attracted a lot of interest and passion both within the community and among councillors and, as elected members we want to ensure we get it right.
“Prehearings will also be held under an independent facilitator. They will provide an opportunity for issues and submissions to be clarified prior to the substantive hearings.
“The dates and timings of the hearings will be publicised early in the new year,” says Mayor Wallace.
