Jacks Point Playground construction begins

Jacks Point Playground construction begins
Friday 1 March, 2013

The construction of a children’s playground for Jacks Point will begin on Monday 4 March with a group of volunteers undertaking the first stage of work.

The site excavation will be done by a group of residents from Jacks Point and is expected to take around a week with the installation of equipment beginning the following Monday.

The playground, which is sited on Maori Jack Road will include a 30 metre long flying fox and a mega tube hill slide and is expected to be completed by June.
Council is grateful to the Jacks Point community whose support means the final cost will be kept at $148,500.

Site plans and drawings can be viewed on the Queenstown Lakes District Council website www.qldc.govt.nz
