Active kids comes to a park near you

Looking for some easy entertainment for the kids close to home during the school holidays?

Hutt City Council’s Active Kids park sessions are set to keep hundreds of children active and energised.

Come along to one of Hutt City’s great parks and enjoy two hours of fun and games designed to keep the entire family active during the holidays.

Active Kids is designed to introduce children aged 5 to 12 years to sport and movement skills, in a fun, inclusive and supportive atmosphere.

Council’s recreation and events manager Duncan Chisholm says activities are suitable for all abilities and will run between 10am to 12noon and 1pm to 3pm.

“These sessions are all about having fun and getting everyone involved - bring a picnic and make a day of it.”

Please wear shoes, a hat, comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle, sunscreen and a healthy snack for after the session. Parents and caregivers are required to stay with children throughout the programme. If wet, the session is cancelled.

No bookings required, just arrive at your chosen session and have FUN!
