ARE YOU A FUNKY MAMA?

It’s easy to forget about yourself when you’re a mum. Between organising the kids, running the household and often holding down a job as well, there’s not a lot of time to focus on you. In saying that, many local mothers who visit Botany Town Centre display an effortless sense of style, and in celebration of this Mother’s Day, the centre wants to acknowledge funky mothers in the community.

Between 29 April and 5 May, local east Auckland resident and dedicated Botany Town Centre blogger Britney Hazeldine will be at the centre to find mothers who possess a fun, quirky and unique sense of style. Britney will take a photo of every mum with the wow factor, and all mothers snapped by Britney during this period will go in the draw to win a $2,000 Botany Town Centre shopping voucher.

Botany Town Centre senior marketing manager Desiree Clark says the centre is looking forward to the search to find the funkiest mum.

“We think this is a fun way to celebrate mothers in the local community. The week is a great opportunity for mums to head to the centre and get a little bit dolled up, making a fun – and potentially very rewarding – event out of their visit.”

The shopping centre has teamed up with More FM to find Auckland’s Funkiest Mum and the station will be handing out a range of goodies to mothers at the centre from 12.00pm – 2.00pm on Saturday 4 May.

Following the week of photo scouting, the top 10 mums will be selected by More FM and uploaded to the More FM website. Between 6 and 17 May, the local community will be given the chance to vote for their favourite stylish mums.

There’s incentive to vote too, as all who select their favourite funkiest mum will go in the draw to win a $500 Botany Town Centre shopping voucher and professional styling session.
