Queenstown Lakes: Last Call For Annual Plan Submissions

Last Call For Annual Plan Submissions

Queenstown Lakes District residents and ratepayers are being reminded that submissions to the 2013 Annual Plan close on Monday 13 May, QLDC communications manager Meaghan Miller said.

As of today, Council had received 119 submissions on multiple issues.

“The majority of those have been made online which is rewarding given a campaign to channel people online rather than deal with the hard copy version,” she said.

The benefit of online submissions was convenience for residents and ratepayers.

“A bonus is that Council has to apply less resource to processing the submissions, which will be provided electronically this year to elected members, rather than a tree of photocopying,” she said.

Anyone that wanted to read the Annual Plan Summary or the draft Annual Plan could find it on the Council website www.qldc.govt.nz or at a library or council office.

Hearings would be held on 29 and 30 May, with the plan to be adopted on 25 June, 2013.
