TEDxTeAro TICKETS TO GO ON SALE THIS FRIDAY JUNE 2013
With the success of the TEDxTeAro in December 2012, the second event will be held on Saturday 29, June with tickets going on sale Friday 14, June at 9am via 1--night.co.nz/tedxtearo2013 The intimate setting of TEDxTeAro means a limited number of tickets will go on sale, License holder, DK, encourages fans to be ready.
“Last year we were blown away with the support as tickets were sold out in thirty minutes.
I would encourage anyone interested to have their credit cards and mouse clicks ready on Friday at 9am to avoid disappointment."
With over 50 nominations TEDxTeAro license holder, DK, is excited about the diverse range of speaker who will encourage new thinking and expose attendees to what the ‘Coolest Little Capital’ and TEDx have to offer.
The eight speakers in this year’s line--up include entrepreneur and founder of the Formary, Bernadette Casey; sound artist and music oriented software developer, Bridget Johnson; CEO of Loyalty NZ, Lance Walker; 2013 NZ Barista Champion and co--founder of Flight Coffee, Nick Clark; serial social entrepreneur, philanthropy consultant and founding director of four successful NZ companies, Getrude Matshe; leading Maori educator and practitioner, Trevor Moeke; ethical consumerist champion and communications manager for Oxfam NZ, Jason Garman and grassroots community organizer, Ben Knight.
“As with last year’s event we have tried to stay true to the TED ethos of diversity and our speakers certainly reflect that.
Individuals ranging from many sectors will be sharing stories around place, coffee, technology, business models, democracy, consumerism, sustainability-- it's a cliché but certainly true in this instance, there'll be something for everyone for sure."
