Pre-loved book sale at the Flaxmere Library

Date:               10th September 2013

Pre-loved book sale at the Flaxmere Library

Friends of the Hastings District Libraries are holding a big, two day book sale at the Flaxmere Library on Tuesday 24 September and Wednesday 25 September from 9am to 5pm.

”This is the first book sale to be held in the Flaxmere Library for many years and it comes about following requests from residents,” says Paula Murdoch, District Libraries Manager.

“This is a great opportunity for Flaxmere residents to buy books at rock bottom prices. Books will be 50c each and magazines 10c each.”

The sale is open to everyone – you do not have to be a library member to buy books.

“Our Friends use the proceeds from the sales to purchase items for use at the libraries.”

Previous purchases resulting from the Friends fundraising include couches, mats and furniture for the children’s and young adults’ areas, and community display boards.

The book sale is one of the many ways the Friends of the Libraries support your libraries. For more information on Friends go to the library website www.hastingslibrary.co.nz

Bring your own carry bag and pick up some great bargains on September 24th and 25th.
