Media advisory: Flooding Closes Roads Between Te Pahu And Waitetuna
Waikato District Council advises that due to flooding Old Mountain Road which runs parallel to SH23 to Raglan, is closed at the one way bridge over Waitetuna River stream between Waitetuna Road and Parker Access Road. Residents who live on Parker Access Road or east of the one way bridge will need to access their property by Te Pahu Road.
Waitetuna Valley Road, three kilometres from SH23, remains closed since earlier today due to flooding also from the Waitetuna River.
Contractors are working around the clock to clear roads where they can and keeping a close watch on all roads across the district during the current storm.
Motorists are urged to drive with care and to the conditions at all times.
