Prestige venue for Hutt Valley business awards
Avalon Studios will this year play host to the Westpac Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards for 2013 on Wednesday, 7 November.
More than 30 companies from across the Hutt Valley will be represented at the black tie awards described by Hutt Valley Chamber Chief Executive, Mark Futter, as a true celebration of business enterprise in the valley.
“We will be catering for 400 people at a sit down dinner that will be enhanced by the spectacular Avalon studio environment and already a huge demand for tables has been received,” he says.
Avalon Film and Television studios were only recently taken over by a local Hutt Valley consortium and the Hutt Valley Sports Awards earlier this year were the first major hospitality event involving the new local management.
“The studio venue is very
centrally positioned within the Hutt Valley and is a great
place to showcase our business talent which will be profiled
through televised vignettes outlining business excellence
displayed by the finalists.
“Business in the Hutt
Valley has been through some tough times in the past few
years and the companies on the short list for awards have
displayed flexibility and a commitment to moulding their
businesses to meet the market demand,” he says.
“Hutt Valley business activity is above average for the region and we see trends which show potential for further growth.
“This is a time to share in the success of the winners and inspire others to take advantage of the knowledge being shared through the awards,” Mr Futter says.
Avalon Film and Television Director and CEO Paul Mainwaring says the studios are a perfect venue for events like the Westpac Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards.
“Avalon is widely regarded locally and internationally and carries a prestige brand for quality and innovation, values that underpin business success,” he says.
