Tons of Fun at Botanic Garden Gala Day
Dunedin (Friday, 11 October 2013) – Come and celebrate spring at the Dunedin Botanic Garden Gala Day on Sunday, 20 October.
The Gala Day, which will run from 9am until 4pm, is part of the Garden’s 150th celebrations.
The many events include a variety show, roving entertainers and a treasure hunt in the lower Garden from 2pm. The popular Rhododendron Day Plant Sale will be held in the upper Garden car park from 9am and a range of interactive activities with artists will provide plenty of fun in the lower Garden during the afternoon.
Botanic Garden Team Leader Alan Matchett is encouraging residents and visitors to the city to come along and enjoy the wide variety of events on the day.
“We have a great programme of events and look forward to the Garden being full of people throughout the day.”
