Media advisory from QLDC re weather impacts
Drivers are advised to take care on the
Crown Range Road due to light snow. The road has been
cleared and gritted but please allow extra time for the
journey between Wanaka and Queenstown, and drive to the
conditions. More snow is forecast today and our contractors
will be patrolling the road.
Lakes Wakatipu, Wanaka
and Hawea continue to be at high levels so boat owners –
particularly those with their craft stored in boatsheds –
are advised to check them today.
QLDC and ORC continue to
monitor the lakes and while they are high, there are no
current concerns for either Wanaka or
Queenstown.
