GSL Promotus supports Youthline move
Wellington, Friday November 1, 2013 – Youthline Wellington will be moving to bigger and brighter premises in January next year, and staff and volunteers are very excited to be moving from their currently cramped offices.
Coordinator Vicki Beachen believes the new bigger space will enable Youthline staff and volunteers to ‘feel more supported in their work, which will benefit everyone.’
GSL Promotus, Wellington’s largest independent advertising agency, has already kindly donated the office furniture for the new premises, which will enable staff and volunteers to take on more work to better support young people in Wellington and beyond.
The Commission for Financial Literacy and Retirement Income have also provided Youthline Wellington with a data projector, which will help with the ongoing Wellington City Council ‘People working with Young People’ education programme.
However, Youthline still need computers and a photocopier; if anyone has any to donate or is keen to help out with the move in January, please shout out!
Youthline Wellington has been supporting New Zealand youth for over forty years, offering free, non judgmental counselling and advice. Youthline volunteers last year answered almost 200,000 calls and over 350,000 texts from young people.
