Prospero Place & Broadway Upgrade ... Have Your Say
Prospero Place & Broadway Upgrade ... Have Your Say
Residents are being asked for their opinions on the development of Broadway and Prospero Place from next week.
As part of the 2012/2022 Long Term Plan, Council agreed to look at improving the public space of Prospero Place and its entrances on Broadway and Miranda Street. The aim is to increase the attractiveness and connectivity of the space and build on what is already there. Four projects have been identified and Council is asking for your feedback on the projects and to prioritise these.
Chief Executive Sue Davidson says, "This will help us to progress these projects and provide budgets for the separate projects so that they are affordable to the ratepayers."
The four projects are: Miranda Street Entrance including Library, the Library from Prospero Place, the Centre of Prospero Place and the Broadway Entrance to Prospero Place.
The proposal details can be found in this week's Stratford Press, and online at Council's website, www.stratford.govt.nz. A more detailed look at the proposal will be on display in the Stratford Library. The opportunity to have your say on the project will also be available at Council's stand at the A&P Show.
The public toilets on Broadway are scheduled to be upgraded early in 2014.
