Three sites open doors Saturday, 30 November
– Burwood and central city bridges,
roundabout/ road through wetland
Three areas
with major SCIRT projects are opening their doors to the
public this weekend, Saturday, 30 November.
Work is ongoing on all sites with the Travis Road roundabout
scheduled for completion this year.
• Colombo St historic bridge
repairs (near the Town
Hall)
Morning, 10am – 12pm.
Free parking in the empty lot on Kilmore St near the bridge.
You will be escorted onsite from Cambridge Terrace. There
is lots of history associated with this site as outlined in
our earlier web story.

• Bridge of Remembrance and
Triumphal Arch
Morning, 10am
– 12pm. Metered parks in Cashel and Lichfield Streets and
Re:Start Mall. SCIRT’s Downer team will meet you on the
Oxford Terrace side of the bridge, facing Re:Start. Work
started on the bridge in April.

• Anzac Drive/Travis/Frosts Road
roundabout & Frosts Road
reconstruction
Afternoon, 1pm -
3pm. Parking is available in the QEII area, meet on grass
area adjacent to Atlantis Drive (off Waygreen and Wattle).
Machinery and photo opportunities for would-be digger
operators.

sensible clothing as you will be on a work site which may be
rough underfoot. A huge thanks to SCIRT's Downer team for
setting up three sites so close to the end of the
year.
