Gull Effect Comes to Kumeu, Prices Will Fall

Early Christmas Present To Motorists From Family Owned Retailer

Auckland, 16 December 2013 – A new era of competition in petrol prices will hit Kumeu when independent family owned fuel retailer Gull New Zealand opens its new unmanned, drive thru site on State Highway 16.

Located at 63 Main Road, Gull Kumeu is the 55th outlet for the business and will undoubtedly lower the cost of petrol in the area, says Dave Bodger, Gull New Zealand General Manager.

“We know from experience that when we expand to a new area and bring our low cost model to the local market that competitors’ prices mysteriously fall. It’s been well documented in places like Pukekohe, Papamoa and Gisborne where collectively motorists have saved hundreds of thousands of dollars annually once Gull hits town.

“Gull will be continuing its proud tradition of providing value to kiwi drivers. Our unmanned site will be delivering sharp petrol prices from the moment it opens, with four pumps selling all grades of fuel and equipped with high flow diesel dispensers, perfect for commercial vehicles.

“Cheaper fuel prices. What could be better in the lead up to Christmas and the holiday break?”

Gull Kumeu is an unmanned site, accepting payment via EFTPOS or PIN operated credit or debit card.
