Staff Investigation
Auckland Transport (AT) has
concluded its investigation into serious allegations of
conflict of interest and corruption in the Road Corridor
Maintenance area of the business.
This came as the result of an internal review of procurement and contracting, initiated by AT. Invoice, contract and other documentation dating back to when Auckland Transport was formed in 2010 was reviewed.
Two senior staff have been dismissed and Auckland Transport has handed its findings to the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) which is now undertaking further investigations.
As the SFO investigation may involve employment or legal issues, Auckland Transport is unable say any more at this stage.
