Press Release: Queenstown Lakes District Council
Hawea residents no longer need boil their drinking
water.
Samples of treated water in the
reticulated supply have been clear of e-coli for the last
three days. Because e-coli is still being detected in the
daily samples of untreated lake water, chlorination will
continue in the meantime as a
precaution.
