Power mostly restored overnight

Vector wishes to advise that all but 324 customers have been restored overnight. These customers are spread throughout the network in small pockets.

The main St Johns feeder was restored around midnight allowing most of the customers in all affected areas to have power this morning.

Vector expects to have the remaining cables repaired and reinstated throughout the morning and into the afternoon. This will allow us to reconfigure the network as those cables come in to ensure all customers are returned to service with full load.

Returning the St Johns and Sylvia Park cables to service has allowed us to spread the load over more of the network, however we would ask that customers continue to conserve energy if you are in the affected areas while crews are working on the remaining damaged cables.
