Unison Advent Calendar Reveals Christmas Goodies at Rotorua Night Market

Friday 28 November - With only nine doors on the Unison Christmas Advent Calendar left to open, Unison is encouraging the Rotorua community to join Joanne Massey as one of the lucky winners of its Christmas promotion, which forms part of the Company’s sponsorship of the Rotorua Night Market.

Ms. Massey was one of three lucky winners drawn in the four-week Christmas promotion, which saw the trio each open a door on Unison’s Christmas Advent Calendar and win a Christmas gift, at last night’s market.

“I never win anything, it was pretty exciting.

“It felt like Christmas had come early this year.”

Unison’s four-week Christmas competition is run in conjunction with Rotorua’s city-focused Christmas campaign, ‘Light Rotorua’, a council initiative aimed at bringing joy and Christmas spirit to the Rotorua community.

Unison Group Chief Executive, Ken Sutherland said he hoped Unison’s Christmas competition would encourage community engagement during the festive season.

“There are some nice synergies between Unison and Light Rotorua. It’s great to be able to support Council’s vision of revitalising the inner city through our sponsorship of the Rotorua Night Market, and what better time of the year than at Christmas to really ‘put it in lights’.”

Rotorua District Council first approached Unison to sponsor the Night Market over four years ago.

After four years, the Market’s success continues to grow. It has been fantastic to see the response to our Christmas Advent Calendar competition.”

By entering on Unison’s Facebook page, market-goers go into the draw to open a door on the Unison Christmas Advent Calendar and win a Christmas prize pack. Three winners are drawn every Wednesday until the week before Christmas, with the winners being announced via Unison’s Facebook page. Winners are then required to head down to the Night Market on Thursday to open their appointed door and claim their prize.
