Ingham Lazy Sundays gets underway

Ingham Lazy Sundays starts on 4 January and runs through until 22 February.
Twelve performers are included in the Ingham Lazy Sundays line-up with the Hard Core Troubadours first up.

All performances will be at the Botanic Gardens Archery Lawn except 11 January when Canadian Jazz trumpeter Mike Field takes the stage at St Albans Park, corner Barbadoes Street and Edward Avenue.

Field, whose music is described as bright, upbeat and energetic, will engage Christchurch musicians to perform with him.

Other performers include The Swan Sisters, Graham Wardrop, Molly's Remedy, The Easy Hearts, Katie Thompson, Flip Grater, Shayna King, Sonic Delusion, French for Rabbits and Jennine Bailey.

Ingham Lazy Sundays is part of Christchurch City Council's SummerTimes events. More information about each performer can be found in the SummerTimes brochure available at Council service centres and libraries, or online at summertimes.co.nz.

Council Events Production Team Manager Chloe Dear says Ingham Lazy Sundays offers a chance to relax and listen to some quality live music free of charge.

"Whether you like jazz, folk, pop, blues, country, funk, Latin, or Irish traditional music, Ingham Lazy Sundays has something for everyone," Dear says.
