Three weeks left to win a water tank

There are only three weeks left to win a 800L water tank by booking an appointment with the Council’s eco advisor Nelson Lebo.

Residents who book a free consultation with Nelson, will learn handy tips and tricks to save water, money, and our planet – as well as going into the draw to win an 800L water tank each week in January.

“Water is essential to our lives” says Nelson. “We need it to drink, to cook with, to clean and to grow our food. Water is a precious resource and we need to conserve and respect it”.

Water tanks collect and store rainwater which and even a small one can act as an insurance policy against disasters, such as extended droughts, or earthquakes.

So far two Palmerston North households have won a water tank. To go into the draw, call the Council on 356 8199 and ask for the eco design advisor to book your consultation and go in the draw.

Residents are also invited to attend an event on 15 January, where Nelson will provide practical advice on growing a drought resistant garden.

If you would like to attend the talk, please meet Nelson at the clock tower in The Square at 5:30pm.
