Beverage Container Recycling Community Grants Programme

To Invite Applications for the:

BEVERAGE CONTAINER RECYCLING COMMUNITY GRANTS PROGRAMME

The Keep New Zealand Beautiful Beverage Container Recycling Community Grants, funded by The Coca-Cola Foundation provides financial support to individuals, communities and organisations for projects which make long term improvements to the recycling of beverage containers.

Applications to the Community Grants Programme is open to projects ranging from $3,000 to $15,000 (plus GST) which have a focus on beverage containers and:
• encourage and facilitate “Out & About” recycling programmes at a local community level
• provide education on the correct disposal of waste
• provide education on cause and effects of recycling; and
• enforce best practice principals in our communities.

Projects will be assessed against a number of criteria including:
• Research based on understanding the particular issues being addressed;
• Recycling innovation and best practice principles;
• Public benefit building on community capabilities;
• Sustainable living including informing and engaging local communities;
• Measurable impact both short and long term.

Applications open: Thursday, 22nd January 2015 at 9 am
Applications close: Friday 27th February 2015 at 5 pm

The successful applicants will be notified by 16 March 2015 and it is anticipated that projects will begin on the 6th of April 2015. All projects must be completed within six months of the start date and be finished by 5th October 2015.
