Fanzone to screen live coverage of the New Zealand versus England match this Friday

The ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 New Zealand Fanzone at Victoria Square will show live coverage of the New Zealand versus England Pool A match this Friday 20 February from 2pm.

Christchurch City Council Events Development Manager Richard Attwood says the Fanzone will be the best seat in town to watch this highly anticipated match, as the Black Caps go for their third win of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.

“Whether you are part of the ‘Beige Brigade’ or the ‘Barmy Army’, the Fanzone will be the place to cheer on your team in Christchurch this Friday afternoon.

“Fans of both New Zealand and England are renowned for their passion and the atmosphere is going to be electric. The Fanzone has everything a cricket fan could want for; food and beverage stalls, backyard cricket pitches, practice nets and of course a giant screen with their favourite team playing in the cricket world cup”.

“Whether it’s a late lunch or after work, we’re urging everyone to come along and enjoy the festival atmosphere of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 New Zealand in the Fanzone at Victoria Square”
