Outdoor movies offer a good night out

With animated family fun, biographic comedy-drama and sci-fi action - the Good Night Film Festival has something for everyone.

Frozen (rated G, or general audience) is the first film to feature outside the Botanic Gardens Visitors Centre on Friday 27 February.

Edge of Tomorrow will be screened on Saturday 28 February and The Intouchables on Sunday 1 March. Both of these movies are rated M, for mature audiences over the age of 16 years but still unrestricted.
Pre-show entertainment starts at 6pm, followed by the movie at 7pm.

Further detail on the three films is available at www.summertimes.co.nz.

Christchurch City Council's Event Production Team Manager Chloë Dear says the Good Night Film Festival is a great way to relax in the evening.

"It is a lot of fun to wrap up in a blanket and watch a movie outside as the sun sets and the stars come out," she says.

Entry to the outdoor cinema is by gold coin donation. Money raised is for the Emergency Care Foundation, a Christchurch hospital-based charity that helps improve the quality of patient care in emergencies.
