NEW/ MAJOR PROJECTS
Big traffic change Governors Bay, Dyers Pass Road one lane, March – August
Governors Bay and Banks Peninsula residents and people who use Dyers Pass Road to get over the hill each day should expect delays for up to six months from March. This area is popular with weekend cyclists so both cyclists and drivers need to take care.
• SCIRT’s Fletcher team starts work on retaining walls on the Governors Bay side of Dyers Pass Road late February/ early March, narrowing the road to one lane.
• Traffic lights will be used to ensure safe journeys up and down the one-lane stretch.
• SCIRT thanks everyone for taking care and building in extra time while this work is underway, watching for cyclists and pedestrians. http://strongerchristchurch.govt.nz/article/big-traffic-
