Home & Garden Show Expects Strong Numbers
Home & Garden Show Expects Strong Numbers Due to Expected Rise in Auckland Building Market
Organiser of the North Shore Home & Garden Show, Daniel Joll, has released a statement confirming that he expects visitor numbers at the Show to be strong this year based on expectations that the Auckland housing market will see increased building activity in 2015.
“A recent report in the National Business Review talks about the probability that residential building activity in Auckland and Christchurch will increase this year as part of expected growth of almost 3% in New Zealand’s economy. We certainly saw an increase in visitor numbers at the show last year, when building work throughout the country was the strongest it had been in nearly 15 years. We anticipate that there will be even more this year”, says Mr. Joll.
For three days starting Friday 20 March, a sell-out show of over 230 exhibitors will gather at the North Shore Events Centre to bring homeowners the latest innovations and trends, along with numerous show-only specials. The fact that it’s the largest Home & Garden Show there yet, will mean more variety, bargains and inspiration for show-goers.
“We’ve got a
fantastic line-up of kitchens, but there will also be the
latest in bathrooms, beds and furniture, through to spas,
solar solutions, landscaping, plants and everything in
between. Our visitors keep telling us that they love the
fact that it’s a one-stop event for any building or DIY
project - it makes it so easy that all the products and
advice they need is under one roof. Even better, they can
make the most of specials that they won’t find anywhere
else, and this year there is another chance for them to win
a tropical holiday for two”, says Mr. Joll.
Show visitors stand to win a week’s trip for two to Niue Island by entering their contact details into one of ten computers on arrival. Thanks to Niue Tourism, the tropical getaway includes flights and accommodation to Niue Island for seven days staying at the Scenic Matavai Resort, plus transfers, an orientation tour and breakfast each morning.
Home owners embarking on outdoor projects will find products ranging from barbeques and outdoor furniture to water tanks and garages. Those with green fingers should view the Landscape Design Competition, which will showcase display gardens created by two top local landscapers. There will also be a host of nurseries, an impressive selection of garden products and services, plus two floral design exhibitions, one created by former ‘Designer of the Year’ winners.
Show hours are Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m, Sunday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Adult entry costs $8, there is a senior special on the Friday for $4 and children under 16 are free. For more information, visit www.homeandgardenshow.co.nz
