Gusty weekend weather but solstice on the way!
Despite some very gusty winds over the weekend (gusts of 78 km/h), there were few outages on the network. Those were caused by car v pole incidents and one case of lines being brought down by an oversized vehicle.
Certainly Auckland has so far been spared the volatile weather of last winter and in seven days, we will hit the winter solstice, marking the shortest day of the year. From then, the long slide into spring begins.
