New date for Tennyson Street Fair

New date for Tennyson Street Fair

Due to high winds and unfavourable weather, organisers of Te Aro’s Tennyson Street Fair, have rescheduled the event to this Sunday, 25 October.

The revised event has meant opportunity for several new additions, including various new shopping and food options, entertainment, and music.

Held, as the name suggests, on Tennyson Street, right in the heart of Te Aro just one street back from Courtenay Place, the Fair is now in its fourth year and was attended by an estimated 4-5,000 people in 2014.

Support received from local business, organisations, and the Wellington City Council has allowed the Fair to expand each year after starting in 2012 with humble beginnings in a church carpark.

Now spanning the entire street, over 60 stalls featuring food, craft, clothing, homewares, and all array of goods and services turn this usually quiet inner city street into a hive of activity from the opening at 10.30am through until 4.30pm.

Two stages packed with quality acts coupled with various kids entertainment options will top off a quality day out for all the family.

Further details for the event can be found online at www.tennysonstreetfair.co.nz.
