Kapiti Food Fair closed
for vendor registration
“Vendor sites at the Kapiti Food Fair have now closed at 138 sites which will be fabulous for visitors on Saturday 5 December, 10am to 3pm at Mazengarb Reserve”, says Fair spokesperson, Helene Judge. There were 124 sites last year so we are well up with a huge range of produced and ready to eat foods.
“Billboards will be up in Kapiti and Horowhenua from 9 November and our huge 10m banner will be up on the North West side of Jervois Quay Overbridge in Wellington from 30 November to encourage more Wellington visitors”, says Helene.
The Kapiti Rotary Club are doing an awesome job behind the scenes for us this year. Their additional funding support has really helped our marketing campaign to spread more broadly in to the Wellington region and beyond; particularly paid advertising on Facebook which has taken us from just under 500 likes to meeting our target of 1,000 likes by the time the Fair rolls around. Rotary will be managing the logistics around visitor parking, gate entry and importantly the ATM cash out facility.
“We still have two tickets to sell for the Masterclass with celebrity chef Annabelle White on Friday night, 4 December”, says Jeanine van Kradenburg of PartyPerfect Catering. She is currently working with Annabelle to develop the menus’ for the Masterclass and the public demonstration at the Fair starting at 11.30am. Tickets for the Masterclass can be purchased by going to the Fair’s web sitehttp://www.kapitifoodfair.net/ or by phoning Jeanine, 04 905 5520. “We know Annabelle’s practical and fun style will resonate well with Fair visitors”, says Jeanine.
The site map including the entertainment programme is being finalised for promotion in the week leading up to the Fair; please do like our Facebook page – www.facebook.com/pages/Kapiti-Food-Fair”. “The funny thing is, the Fair has recently been approached by Tim Read who won Masterchef 2015 …… he has now confirmed as the celebrity chef for 2016, which is fantastic as he is originally from Levin so it will be a great opportunity to host him next year, says Helene.
