New director for Tamaki
Redevelopment Company
Auckland Council has
appointed of a new director to the Tamaki Redevelopment
Company Limited (TRC).
The council’s CCO Monitoring and Governance Committee approved the appointment of Kerry Hitchcock at its November meeting.
Mr Hitchcock has a long history of experience in a variety of fields including strategic planning, asset management and the development of commercial and residential property and currently is the managing director of National Property Trust (NTP).
He is also a director of Charta Limited, a company involved in development activities with a focus on investment and development for Urban Renewal, Port Marlborough NZ Ltd and Kauri Property Fund Limited.
Mayor Len Brown and Chair of the CCO Monitoring and Governance Committee and Deputy Mayor Penny Hulse welcome the appointment saying Mr Hitchcock has exactly the right skills and a far reaching knowledge base that will be a huge asset to the Tamaki Redevelopment Company.
Tamaki Redevelopment Company Chair Brian Donnelly says Mr Hitchcock appointment has commercial property experience that will be extremely valuable for the company and the Tamaki regeneration work ahead.
The Tamaki Redevelopment Company is owned by the government (51 per cent) and Auckland Council and was established in 2012 to lead a programme of regeneration initiatives in the Tamaki area including Glen Innes, Panmure and Point England.
