New dog agility course to open in Henderson

Henderson-Massey Local Board invites dog owners and their dogs to the opening of a new dog agility course on Saturday 12 December, 10.30am – 1pm at Corban Reserve, located at 130-136 Henderson Valley Road.

This free event will include a dog agility demonstration, dog product market stalls, prizes, face painting, plus free burgers, drinks and ice cream.

The agility course is currently being constructed and will feature a tunnel, hurdles, weaving poles, a bridge and more.

“I am really excited that we have been able to provide dog owners with a great course for them to enjoy with their dogs,” says local board member Tracy Kirkley.

“We want to provide a variety of amenities in our local parks, and this was a great fit for Corban Reserve. It will encourage more use of the park for dog walking, agility and recreation.

“We look forward to seeing owners and their dogs at the course opening. I’m especially excited about the dog agility demonstration! Don’t forget to bring water for your dogs.”

This is an off-leash event. Dog owners must keep their dogs under control at all times.
