Kapiti Food Fair Vendor Site Map, Job
Done!
The vendor site map for the Kapiti Food Fair has
been done and released to all vendors. “This is always an
exciting time for the Fair as careful planning goes in to
the final positioning of each vendor”, says Fair
spokesperson, Helene Judge. There are 139 sites this year
and there is an awesome range of manufactured food, ready to
eat food and other food related products.
Helene goes on to say, “our Facebook page has really taken off this year which we are delighted about as our aim was to go past the critical mass of 1,000 likes and the online engagement that comes with that. We are currently sitting at 1,065 likes so we are very happy with that for this year. Many of our followers are from Wellington so we hopeful they will jump on the train or fill their car with friends to enjoy a day out at the Fair. Our enormous 10m banner will be up on the Jervois Quay Overbridge in Wellington from 30 Nov so we are sure that will attract attention and last minute decision makers from Wellington.”
Final logistics are in full swing including meetings with our large team of volunteers from Kapiti Rotary and Students from Paraparaumu College. “We are a genuine ‘pop-up’ Fair with vendors and volunteers embarking on Mazengarb Reserve from 6am on the morning of the Fair to be ready for visitors at 10am. Come 3pm, pack down gets underway and by 5.30pm we are off the Reserve – no one would ever know that we have been there other than the tell-tale spray paint markings on the grass,” says Helene.
If you run out of cash at the Fair, don’t despair as Kapiti Rotary will be running an Eftpos cash out facility and many vendors also operate with Eftpos on their site.
Jeanine van Kradenburg of PartyPerfect Catering “is thrilled as we have sold the last two tickets that were available to attend the Masterclass with celebrity chef Annabelle White on Fri 4 Dec.” The menus’ for the Masterclass and the public demonstration at the Fair are coming together nicely.
The Kapiti News will print the site map (including the
entertainment programme) on Wed 2 Dec, or go to our Facebook
