DCC Officers investigating dog attack

Dunedin (Tuesday, 1 December 2015) – The Dunedin City Council’s Animal Services department is investigating an incident after a woman was seriously injured in an attack involving three Irish Wolf Hounds this morning.

Animal Services officers attended the scene in Mornington at 7.40am and reported that the dog owner was shaken and distressed by the incident. The owner has taken responsibility for the attack and has already had two of the dogs euthanised. The Animal Services department is further investigating the extent of the third dog’s involvement in relation to the incident to see if any further action needs to be taken.
