Ingham Lazy Sundays gets under way

Ingham Lazy Sundays gets under way again this weekend on the Botanic Gardens Archery Lawn, running through until 21 February.

The free summer series opens with Lil' Chuck at 3pm Sunday 3 January, and will run every Sunday until the grand finale in St Albans Park onSunday 21 February, featuring Fiona Pears.

Other performers include Sonic Delusion, Elizabeth Braggins and Sam Hagmann, Yulia with Hanafi and Matt Smith, Sound Sensation, Stig the Piano Man, and Sam Manzanza.

Ingham Lazy Sundays is part of Christchurch City Council’s SummerTimes events. More information about the performers is also in the SummerTimes brochure available at Council service centres and libraries.

Council Events Co-ordinator Paul Kean says Ingham Lazy Sundays offers a chance to relax and listen to some music free of charge.

“Whether you like jazz, folk, pop, blues, country, funk, Latin, or African Beat music, Ingham Lazy Sundays has something for everyone,” Kean says.
