Opening of St John Ambulance Facility in Temuka
Opening of St John Ambulance Facility in Temuka
12
February 2016
On Sunday 14 February 2016 St John will be celebrating the opening of its brand new ambulance facility in Temuka.
The new facility replaces the original building which was damaged in the 2010-2011 Canterbury earthquakes.
Key guests at the opening are the Hon. Jo Goodhew, MP for Rangitata, His Worship Damon Odey, Mayor of Timaru, Peter Bradley, CEO of St John New Zealand, and Dr Steve Evans, Chancellor of St John.
The locally organised fundraising appeal raised over $100,000 in just four months from the community and St John is deeply indebted to the generosity of its friends in the district. The project commenced in August 2015 and St John moved into the building in December 2015.
The plan was for an IL4 earthquake rated building and Thompson Construction delivered to an extremely high standard to ensure St John was secure in the future.
Media are warmly invited to attend the opening, get photos and video imagery, and interview key parties to the project.
