Mayor Andrew Judd says the confirmed sale of the Council’s Tasman Farms investment is a great outcome for the community of New Plymouth District.
Australian Treasurer Scott Morrison today endorsed the recommendation of Australia’s Foreign Investment Review Board to approve the A$280 million sale of the farms to Moon Lake Investments.
“Throughout the sale process we have been focused as a Council on achieving the best possible outcome for our community. I am delighted we have achieved this,” says Mayor Judd.
“Once the sale is completed the proceeds will increase the value of the Perpetual Investment Fund, which exists for the benefit of our community now and in the future.”
