Temuka River Bridge repair, north of Timaru
Temuka River Bridge repair, north of Timaru
The NZ Transport Agency is repairing the Temuka River bridge deck joints, north of Timaru, starting next Monday night 14 March, 2016 at 8 pm.
“A single lane will operate from 8pm overnight to 6am weekdays (Monday to Friday) 14 March until Thursday, 24 March. The repair work is weather dependent so wet weather may delay the planned completion date,” said NZ Transport Agency Maintenance Contract Manager John Keenan.
“Works will continue over the following week Tuesday 29 March to Friday 1 April if necessary.”
The Temuka River bridge is 8 km north of Washdyke, on the north side of Timaru.
• Drivers should plan for brief
delays of up to 10 minutes.
• Temporary traffic
signals will control traffic on the bridge during these
works.
• Drivers of over-sized loads will not be
able to use the bridge while this work is underway and there
is no detour available off State Highway 1. The maximum
available lane width will be 2.75
metres.
