Bring a bag, have a browse, grab a bargain

Bring a bag, have a browse, grab a bargain

Dunedin (Friday, 11 March) – For those who always seem to miss the annual City Library book sale, things just got a whole lot easier.

Regular indoor book sales at the City Library are proving so popular that Dunedin Public Libraries have decided to stick with the winning formula and will hold smaller seasonal sales every few months instead of a single big sale each year.

The Libraries’ Events Coordinator, Kay Mercer, says “Spacing the sales over the seasons means people don’t have to wait a whole year in between bargains, and the new layout on the ground floor makes it easier for us to keep stock refreshed throughout the sale, so customers don’t have to be there right at the start to get the all good stuff.”

The book sale will open on the ground floor of the City Library for three days over Otago Anniversary weekend, Friday 18 to Sunday 20 March, during normal Library opening hours. That should give people plenty of time to pick up something to read over the cooler months.

“It will be worth popping back for repeat visits over the weekend to hunt for more good books”, says Mrs Mercer.

“There’ll be some great fossicking going on all weekend”.
