NEST becomes the Northland Rescue Helicopter
The Northland Emergency Services Trust (NEST) will now be known as the Northland Rescue Helicopter.
The move comes as a result of a need to maintain consistency when the trust’s helicopters are referred to in the media and by the public.
Peter Turnbull, the Northland Rescue Helicopter’s chief pilot and chief executive, says the new name is about establishing cohesive branding for the helicopters and the trust.
“Currently there are a few titles we are referred to as a service and while they are all names we have used in the past we have decided the Northland Rescue Helicopter encompasses what we do best and it will help eliminate any name confusion.
“It’s important that we create a consistent, recognisable brand for the Northland community, and to ensure everyone knows our dedicated air ambulance service is here to help when they need it the most.”
