Youth Dance party features up and coming Nelson DJ's.

Dust off those dancing shoes – its time to cut loose on the dance floor! Nelson Youth Events is presenting Fader at the Trafalgar Pavilion, and event organiser Paul McConachie says the youth dance party will feature five of New Zealand's hottest young DJs.

“Headlining Fader is Auckland based producer and former Nelsonian beat master LMC (aka Liam McAlister), who draws on influences from 90's Hip Hop to Atlanta Trap,” he said. “LMC has already managed to clock over 2 million Soundcloud plays, has support from international record labels, and is fast becoming a name at major music festivals such as Rhythm & Vines in NZ and Fling Fling x Flo-Fi Warehouse Party in Australia. LMC songs are also getting spins on popular radio shows such as Complexions Future Beats show, George FM, Bass FM, and Soulection.”

McConachie says LMC is supported by a stellar cast of the region’s finest youth DJs featuring Nelson's Sean Richards, Forseti, Kayis and Marlborough's the Pav Boys.

“I’m really proud about this event – not only is the headline act a former Nelsonion, but we’ve also got a whole youth production team involved. From DJs and MCs, to event hospitality and promotions staff, to young people undertaking graphic design and photo/videography roles its all part of our mission to support youth development.”

There is also a social media contest for the ultimate Fader experience. People can win exclusive access to the Fader VIP Lounge for themselves and 12 mates, with refreshments, food and a comfy space for you to ‘get your Fader on’. Visit 'Nelson Youth Events' on Facebook to enter.

Security and H&S event workers will be on hand to ensure a happy event for all. Fader has been made possible thanks to funding from Nelson City Council.

Tickets are on sale for $10 and can be purchased from the Nelson ISITE. Door sales $15.
