Youth Card offers latest support, advice and discounts
Rotorua Youth Cards with latest information and discounts are being sent out to young people 11 to 18 years old.
Rotorua Lakes Youth Council is distributing the Rotaz 2016 Youth Card via Rotorua schools and youth-based organisations to support better-connected youth.
Youth Council Coordinator Chris Webber said the folding credit card-sized Youth Card provides information about youth-relevant services and discounts for young people.
“People can have better outcomes when better connected in the community so having this information in a keep-able way helps connect our youth with what is on offer.”
The youth card lists where young people can chill out, have fun or gain advice for legal, health, counselling, employment, training, and transport services. It also offers discounts at local outlets including food, recreation, clothing and entertainment.
“Information ranges from latest entertainment and online tools to Cinema Hotline and Family Violence 0800 number”, says Mr Webber.
New discounts and updates regarding up and coming Youth Week events (21-28 May) organised by a number of youth leaders and organisations are invited to check out the Rotaz Youth facebook and new online links available at www.RotoruaYouthCouncil.weebly.com.
