Fatal Robinson R66 helicopter crash report published
The Final report on the fatal crash of the Robinson R66 helicopter in the Kaweka Range on March 9, 2013 is now available on the Commission’s website (www.taic.org.nz). The helicopter crashed after experiencing an occurrence known as “mast bump”. The pilot, who was the only person on board, was killed.
You will find the Executive Summary on page 1, the Findings and Safety actions on pages 26 and 27 and the Recommendations on page 28 and 29.
