Panthers match in Christchurch sold out

Penrith Panthers vs NZ Warriors

AMI Stadium, Christchurch, May 14

Panthers match in Christchurch sold out

AMI Stadium will be packed to the rafters on Saturday when the Penrith Panthers host the New Zealand Warriors in Christchurch.

Ticket sales had been progressing well over the past few months, but sales accelerated even more in the past week, with the last few hundred tickets selling on Wednesday.

Match organiser Justin Wallace said he was pleased that South Island sports fans had recognised the opportunity to see the best rugby league competition in the world.

“It is wonderful that we can give the Panthers and the Warriors a packed stadium that will be rocking with excited rugby league fans,” said Mr Wallace.

Mr Wallace and his business partner Craig Douglas are delighted that their confidence in Christchurch’s appetite for big events has been rewarded with a full stadium.

“It will be terrific to show the television audiences around Australia and around the world that Christchurch is open for business and a great venue to host big events.”

Mr Wallace said that this event would not have been possible without the generous support from the Christchurch City Council and Christchurch International Airport.

Kick-off for Saturday’s match is 5pm.
