Mid-winter parties show consumer confidence up

Alexandra Park says temperatures may be falling but consumer confidence is up if you base it on the numbers buying tickets for their annual mid-winter Christmas parties set over four consecutive Friday race nights - 24 June and 1, 8 and 15 July.

Alexandra Park Sales & Marketing Manager Joel Reichardt says this year’s mid-winter Christmas parties are selling better than ever – helped by a comprehensive marketing campaign and greater numbers enthusiastically buying tickets to secure a fun night out with friends, family and colleagues.

The mid-winter Christmas party packages start from just $65 per person, with parties set to be hosted in the Top of the Park, Tasman and Rutherford rooms.

“We’re really blown away with how well they’ve been selling. For some nights we only have a couple of tables left in a couple of the rooms. Where we’ve probably got the most availability is on Friday, 1 July,” he says.

“So we want to get the message out. 1 July. What a great date! It’s the start of a new financial year for many and it’s exactly half way through the calendar year. With six months down and only six months left of 2016, it’s the perfect night to celebrate.”

Mr Reichardt says those who manage to reserve their spot will enjoy generous hospitality, a beautifully themed room, plenty of warm festive treats, great harness racing action, and live entertainment afterwards.”

While on Friday, 26 August, Thai Night will be back at Alexandra Park. Enjoy an all-you-can-eat Thai Buffet, fully themed room, a drink on arrival and of course all the excitement of live racing action. The Thai Night package is only $55 per person.
