now open
The NZ Transport Agency is advising motorists that the Desert Road State Highway 1 between Rangipo and Waiouru is now fully open in both directions following a fatal crash earlier this morning.
Motorists should still take care and be aware of changing weather conditions in the area. Visit the Metservice website for up to date information on weather conditions.
