The Spring Fling, Central Hawke’s Bay, September & October
The Spring Fling, Central Hawke’s Bay, September &
October
The second annual Spring Fling is a
series of 20 standout events that capture the essence of
springtime in Central Hawke’s Bay.
Kicking off
with the iconic ‘Central Hawke’s Bay, The Festival’
– a four-day hill top celebration of art, markets, food
and wine – to events giving people the chance to
experience
history, homesteads, cycling, music,
adventure, hunting, wine and dining. The Spring Fling is a
chance to experience the best Central Hawke’s Bay has to
offer this Spring.
Hawke’s Bay Tourism and Central Hawke’s Bay Promotions have created ‘The Spring Fling’ specifically to invite visitors into the district and showcase the best of Central Hawke’s Bay.
Last
year’s inaugural event saw 13 offerings, and the growth in
event numbers this year to 20 is a reflection of the
dedication local operators have to promoting the district as
a great
option for visitors.
Central Hawke’s
Bay Tourism Co-ordinator Trudy Hales is thrilled with how
The Spring Fling event program has come together; ‘It’s
largely down to our fantastic operators and
some
dedicated locals keen to show off what’s on offer
for visitors and locals in Central Hawke’s Bay.”
“The usual offerings are a key part of the calendar,
with events like ‘Central Hawke’s Bay, The Festival’
and Taniwha Daffodils, but it’s also hugely encouraging to
see the likes of the
Destination Porangahau group come
together and create four exciting and diverse events in the
program.”
“There is so much to see and do and
it’s great to not only invite visitors into the District
but to also remind ourselves what we have in our own
backyard. There truly is something
for everyone with
events designed specifically for kids, to competent horse
riders, to garden and history enthusiasts, to those looking
for a great family outing and more.”
“It’s a
wonderful platform to rediscover places we’ve been to year
in, year out and to literally see them in a new light with
the likes of the two Taniwha Daffodil events, Dawn &
Dusk
in the Daffodils”.
Hawke’s Bay Tourism
General Manager, Annie Dundas said “Spring in Central
Hawke’s Bay is absolutely magical, and the Spring Fling is
the perfect opportunity to really showcase this
part of
our region. It’s fantastic seeing all the operators and
locals come together to create this celebration”.
Tickets go on sale for The Spring Fling on Friday August 5th at 9am and a full list of events can be found at www.thespringfling.co.nz
