Great NZ Food Show Set to Sizzle at Claudelands

Great NZ Food Show Set to Sizzle at Claudelands

17 August 2016

Hamilton's Claudelands will sizzle with an array of local flavours and culinary inspiration when the Great NZ Food Show moves to the venue in 2017.

Classic Events, the Great NZ Food Show organisers, confirmed this week that Claudelands will host the popular exhibition across two days next year.

Sean Murray, H3 Executive Director, says the decision by Classic Events to shift to Claudelands is another firm show of support for the facility.

"We're extremely pleased to have secured the Great NZ Food Show for Claudelands," Mr Murray says.

"The organisers' booking takes in all our conference areas and exhibition halls, which is a really significant chunk of the floor space we have available. We're really looking forward to having the event here and it's an excellent fit for our venue."

The Great NZ Food Show has regularly drawn a crowd of 10,000 "foodies" who are keen to explore the latest culinary offerings and learn from some of New Zealand's best chefs.

There are three major parts to the Great New Zealand Food Show:

• The Heathcote Appliances Cooking Theatre features well-known and local chefs cooking from their latest books or menus of their restaurants

• Wintec Cooking Classes for patrons who want to learn a new technique and be inspired to create restaurant quality dishes

• Exhibitors presenting new food, appliances, kitchenware, wine, beer and cider.

The Great NZ Food Show will be held at Claudelands on 13 and 14 May, 2017.
