Urgent emergency repair works on Kāpiti Road - break in water main impacting traffic and water pressure for Paraparaumu and Raumati
There’s a been break in a water main down Kāpiti Road and Council is starting some urgent emergency repair works right away.
Council is advising people to avoid travelling via Kāpiti Road where they can as traffic will be slow moving between Rimu Road and Arawhata Road. Please expect delays.
As a result of this emergency work, there may be a drop in water pressure in Paraparaumu and Raumati until the repairs are complete – the work is likely to take most of the day.
Residents may also notice some sediment in the water and are advised to please run the taps for a few minutes to flush the system. If this does not clear the water or if there are still concerns please phone Council on 0800 486 486.
