He has since been charged with two additional aggravated robberies that occurred on 2 September 2015 in Porirua.

These earlier robberies also involved a firearm being presented to staff at a dairy and hotel.

Police have continued this momentum today, arresting and charging an 18-year-old Porirua man with an aggravated robbery and an attempted aggravated robbery of two separate dairies in Porirua on 24 October 2016.

On both occasions, a firearm was presented at the dairy owners and a small amount of money was obtained from one of the dairies.

The 18-year-old man appeared in the Porirua District Court today and was remanded in custody to next appear on 11 November 2016.

Detective Senior Sergeant Grant Ferguson said today's arrests came about through patient and committed investigation work.
